About
My name is Wes and I have been playing the violin and viola for 15 years. I have played in countless string quartets and quintets, recitals, and concerts! I teach anyone who wants to learn these instruments from a beginner level to intermediate.
I have lead string sectionals in school orchestras, performed alongside members of the Sarasota Orchestra at the van Wezel in Sarasota. I was the concertmaster of the Chamber Strings Orchestra of the Sarasota Youth Orchestra Program and was also a member of the Youth Symphony and Youth Philharmonic Orchestras in Sarasota. In addition, I have tutored beginner and intermediate level musicians, and have played in many string quartets and quintets in the Central Florida area
I'd like to tailor the reportoire to the student's needs. I like to start lessons with scales and left -hand exercises from the Schradieck book, and then proceed to the main piece/ pieces that the student is working on. Helping my students achieve their goals is my objective as an instructor.
