Let me share my love of playing the violin with you!!  I fell in love with the sound of the violin when I attended an Itzhak Perlman concert at the age of five in my hometown of Memphis, Tennessee.  I was classically trained in the Suzuki method, but was also exposed to and influenced by the jazz, rock, blues, soul, and gospel of Memphis’ rich music scene, and that has had a huge impact on my playing and teaching.  In addition to sharing my love of violin through teaching for ten years, I have been blessed to be able to share my music through playing with orchestras, leading worship as part of a worship team, recording six solo albums, and headlining live performances.  My audience includes 300,000 social media followers from around the world and my YouTube channel has over 4 million views.  As far as my approach to teaching, I believe in providing a strong foundation for my students, while also taking each individual student’s goals and interests into account in planning what approach or method will work best.  Whatever the approach, I believe in providing a relaxed, supportive, fun environment so that exploring music through the violin is a joy.
