Teaching Experience: Elite-level Music Education Training for Violin, Viola, Piano, Music History and Music Theory. Affiliate Violin & Viola Instructor with Royal Conservatory of Music (Toronto).  Lessons emphasize technique, repertoire, music theory and ear training.  Flexible, creative approach individually tailored to each student’s needs and potential.  Known for developing a training program and method that produces exceptional talent.  Teach traditional and Suzuki methods. 

Violin: 19 years; Beginners thru Advanced Level; Ages 4 to Adult (2001 - Current)
Viola: 3 years; Beginners thru Intermediate Level: Ages 8 to Adult (2017 - Current)
• Currently teach 23 private students in violin and viola (ages 3 thru Adult); 2 group classes in Suzuki Violin & Music Theory.
• Taught over a total of 250 students in the English language (over 19 year period) from USA, China, South Korea,Vietnam, France, Venezuela and Colombia. Many former students have won concertmaster positions and top prizes at competitions (local, regional, national and international). In addition, numerous former students have gone on to study professionally at the most prestigious pre-conservatories and music conservatories around the world.
• Created 3 courses in Music Theory, Analysis & Ear Training to help students prepare for professional music school entrance examinations and examination boards (i.e. ABRSM, AMEB, Trinity and RCM Toronto).
• Specialize in teaching gifted and motivated children / younger students. Experienced in teaching students with special needs (i.e. autism, ADHD, PTSD).
Masterclasses, Seminars & Clinics: Conducted masterclasses and seminars at the École Normale Musique de Paris, Manhattan School of Music, University of Washington, University of British Columbia and at various high school and youth orchestras throughout Seattle, Los Angeles and Hartford.
Adjudication: Frequent juror at junior and senior-level violin competitions around the world. Adjudicator for CMEA Eastern & Northern Regional Competitions.
Music Education Outreach: At the Tacoma Philharmonic Association (2002 to 2006), organized community outreach music education initiatives with local inner-city schools and universities, including Kids Zone Concerts, Emerging Artists Series, and Tacoma Philharmonic Solo Music Competition.

Education & Training:  Professional Studies in Violin Performance at the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique et de Danse (Paris, France) and at The Juilliard School of Music.  Certificate in Music Theory & Analysis from the Royal Conservatory of Music Toronto (Award: First Class Honours with Distinction).  Certificate in Violin & Viola Pedagogy from Northwestern University's Bienen School of Music.  Suzuki Violin Pedagogy Workshop at the Hartt School of Music (Hartford, CT) with Carrie Reuning-Hummel.

• Violin Teachers: Current student of Viktoria Mullova and Pinchas Zukerman.  Former student of  Itzhak Perlman, Cho-Liang Lin, Ivry Gitlis, Augustin Dumay, Roland Daugareil, Iona Brown and Sidney Weiss.

• Viola Teachers: Current student of Antoine Tamestit, Pierre Lenert and David Gaillard.

Piano Teachers: Former student Jean-Yves Thibaudet, Maria-Joao Pires, Leon Fleisher and Jacques Rouvier.
