About

Dr. Beatty is a highly motivated low brass clinician with extensive background in performance and music education. A recent graduate from the University of Miami, Dr. Beatty currently serves on the teaching faculty for The New World School of the Arts and Miami Dade College. His studio consists of students ranging from beginners through the university level and Dr. Beatty is frequently a guest clinician in middle and high school classrooms throughout south Florida. Many of Dr. Beatty’s students have earned acceptance into prestigious music festivals and honor bands throughout the country, including the Eastern Music Festival, Brevard Music Festival, Miami Music Festival, Interlochen Arts Academy, FSU’s Tri-State Honor Band, and USF’s Festival of Winds. His secondary level students go on to earn acceptance and scholarships to distinguished colleges and universities throughout the southeastern United States, including the University of Miami, University of Florida, Florida State University, and the University of South Florida.

I have a very moldable approach to my students. I generally like to get some background and what the current aspirations are so I can get a good idea on how to teach my students. Every student's needs are different, and I accommodate those differences in a structured and cohesive way that focuses on growth and reaching goals.

This entirely depends on the students level and needs and is discussed in the first lesson.
