About

Nick Rosario is a jazz trombonist, composer and educator. For 16 years he has honed his craft exploring a plethora of rhythmic, melodic, and harmonic ideas to add to his lexicon. After building up his professional fundamentals at California State University East Bay, Nick moved to Boston to gain his first graduate degree from the New England Conservatory of Music.  Seemingly ready to play everything, he has performed in jazz, classical, pop, ska, reggae, motown, neo soul, and salsa ensembles in Boston and the San Francisco area.

My teaching style is based on locating how a student learns and developing a unique curriculum to work problem areas and improve established strengths. I also like to inspire fun in the student by conversing about what kind of music the student wants to play while making sure the student is technically prepared to do so.

Master of Music- New England Conservatory (Academic Honors)

Bachelor of Arts- California State University, East Bay

I run students through the Rubank series which starts with the Elementary Method, then Intermediate, then Advanced. These are the books I learned from and I think they offer a good progression of difficulty.
