About

Born in 1991 in Austria, I am a working musician and pedagogue living in Vienna. I have two Master's Degrees, one in Music Education majoring in wind instruments with my main instrument being jazz saxophone at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, the other in Jazz Composition at the Jam Music Lab University Vienna. Besides teaching I am currently playing in a variety of brass secitions, big bands and other combos ranging from pop music to jazz, for example the Band Jimmy and the Goofballs or Prohaska. Furthermore, I have participated in a number of different musicals and theatre productions, one of them the german production of Falco - The Musical.

I have had the chance of teaching dozens of students in all four main types of saxophones, clarinet, composition, arrangement and music theory. Over the last ten years I have not only been working on my abilities as a working musician but also on my teaching style. That has given me the toolbox of giving each student a unique approach in whichever field he or she wants to work. My students are complete beginners as well as very experienced musicians in an age span of 10 to 80+.

I have studied and worked with many great musicians from Austria and also had the opportunity to share the stage with internationally awarded artists such as:
Pee Wee Ellis (Maceo Parker), Vincent Herring, Mathias Rüegg (Vienna Art Orchestra), Ed Partyka, Michael Abene and many more

My teaching method is aligned to the individual needs of every student and arranged in our first lesson together. Beyond that I have many method books with which I like to work, an excerpt of them is:

Saxophone and clarinet: Lennie Niehaus Etudes, Jim Snidero Jazz Conception, John O'Neill Jazz Method, Bob Mintzer Etudes, Klosé and Ferling classical etudes, Jamey Aebersold etc...

Music theory, composition and arrangement: Mark Levine Jazz Harmony, Sammy Nestico: The Complete Arranger, Rayburn Wright's Inside the Score as well as a wide variety of big band charts to study
