Hi! My name is Jose. I'm a Venezuelan-American pianist, producer, and educator living in New York City. I've been teaching privately online for over 6 years, and have been making music professionally for 20 years. I have two degrees from the Eastman School of Music and am well versed in a large range of musical styles. Classical, jazz, latin, pop, rock, musical theater, the list goes on! Teaching Style

I tailor my curriculum to every student's individual goals. I teach a lot through improvisation, reading, and listening to music. Lessons are always interactive and fun! I try to strike a balance between being very formal and flexible.

I have most of my beginner students use a version of the Faber Piano Adventures books, and I assign listening examples regularly.
