My teaching style is very simple. I try to make the subject I am teaching relative to a person's current experience. Is my firm belief that music should be taught using music examples based on the music they currently listen to. There must be a cultural connection first. In other words, a teacher should meet a student where he is first. Then bring the student up to where the teacher is.
