About

I have my bachelor's degree in music with an emphasis in Opera. I also teach pop, musical theater, jazz and R&B as well. I have been giving private voice lessons for the past four years. Though, I am first and foremost a performer and therefore I know how to help students who may have particular anxieties when it comes to singing. Your voice is the most personal instrument there is and I know it can be hard to have the courage to share it with people.

My teaching method is not only learning how to use your voice to the best of it's ability while making it as beautiful sounding as possible. I am also here to encourage you on your journey as a singer.  I believe anyone has the ability to improve whatever voice they were given, it's up to the singer on how far they choose to go with it.

Bachelor of Arts Colorado State University Pueblo in music. My voice teacher who taught me everything Mary Mackenzie won the metropolitan opera national council auditions in 1960 when there was only one winner. I did the Opera Viva! summer music festival in Verona Italy. There I worked with Ashley Putnam, who was the vocal instructor of the program. I also had a master class with June Anderson there and one with Cecilia Gasdia as well. I did the summer music festival in 2014 at the manhattan school of music where I worked with Ashley again and I was in the Opera The cunning little vixen as the frog and chorus member. I was in a master class with Kurt Robinson, he is a voice teacher to various people on broadway and pop singers including Demi Lovato. I played Dido in Dido and Aeneas in a university production. I have been in various musicals in my community including Ain't MIsbehavin', Grease, and Gypsy as well as many others.

No text book required. However it would be great if you had the sheet music for whatever song or aria we are working on.
