I started playing the trumpet when I was ten, and I've been hooked on music ever since. I started Seattle Drum Studio in 2011 when I started teaching so I could pursue music as a career full time. I'm excited that I get to provide a fun and engaging environment for students of all ages and playing abilities. When I'm not teaching, I can be found playing with Filthy Traitors, Without A Doubt, or the 204th Army Band.
My weekly drum lessons are tailored to each student, while providing a solid foundation in:
- Hand and Foot Technique
- Snare Drum Rudiments
- Rock / Funk / Latin / Jazz
- Music Theory and Song Structures
Students of all playing levels are accepted. Whether you are a complete beginner, or a seasoned pro looking for something new, I can guide you in the right direction to help you reach your personal goals in music. I accept students of any age, both young in life and young at heart. My youngest students are 4 years old, and I teach many adults in their 50's, 60's and beyond.
