About
My name is Saidath.J. I learned Mridangam from my childhood. Basically i am belonging to a Music family. My Grandfather "Kandiyoor Sri Ayyappan Bhagavathar" was a Renowned Musician with many disciples in Carnatic Vocal. My father was my first Guru. And I accompanied various Artists including "Mandolin legend Sri U Srinivas " several times between 2003 - 2011. Since 2007 I am teaching Mridangam in Sathya Sai Instituute Of Higher Learning. I have 14 years of teaching experience.

- 14 years of Experience in Teaching Panchavadhyam (Kerala Percussions).

- Accompanying Mridangam for Carnatic Classical Music Concerts regularly across India.
- Playing different Percussion Instruments other than Mridangam such as:
- Tabla, Ghatam, Kanjira, Thimila, Chenda, Naal, Octopod.
- Accompanying for different systems/styles of Music.
- Playing Tabla for Bhajans, Devotional and Light Music.
Achievements
- Performed Mridangam several times in the Divine Presence of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.
- Performed on 85th Birthday Celebrations of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba at Prashanti Nilayam, with audience of over 50,000.
- Accompanying Mandolin legend Sri U Srinivas several times between 2003 - 2011.
- Accompanying renowned playback Singer Smt. K S Chitra in 2007.
- Prasanthi Bhajan Group Performance, Mumbai Brabourne Stadium in November, 2009
- Mridangam accompaniment for a Veena concert by Vidwan Sri Puddukottai R Krishnamurthy in Nada Neerajanam Program at TTD in 2009.
- Accompanied on Mridangam at Bangalore for a Traditional Bhajan Group ‘Sri Sathya Sai Madhura Gaana Sabha’, Mumbai in a National Traditional Bhajan Competition entitled ‘Bhajan Samrat’ conducted by ‘Sri Shankara Channel’ in 2013.
- Performed Mridangam along with ‘Prasanthi Bhajan Group” at various Sai Centres in United States of America in 2017.
