About

Hi! My name is Gina Seraichyk.  I've been teaching private flute instruction for over 25 years.  I have extensive experience performing for over 30 years in  local orchestras, solo work at local churches, solo recitals, chamber groups, and recording.  My playing can be heard on the soundtrack for the PBS documentary, "America's Forgotten Heroine: Ida Lewis, Keeper of the Light".  I was awarded a full performance scholarship to study performance at the University of RI.  I also studied performance at Berklee College of Music.  I have been an adjudicator for the RI MUSIC Educators' Association annual All-State Competition, and have been very successful in training Jr. High school and High School players for state-wide competitions. Last year all seven of my local in-person students won positions in the RI All-State Band or orchestra (7th grade-12th grade).  I'm currently enrolled in a course to become certified in Performance Psychology for Educators and also recently completed a course for Educators -Eliminate Student Anxiety and Pain, taught by renowned teacher Lea Pearson.  I am constantly worked nh in my musicianship and teaching skills.

My teaching style focuses on how to practice,  lending encouragement and support for students to learn how to solve problems on their own.
We will spend time on tone, scales, etudes and repertoire, learning techniques that will improve sound, musicality, technique and overall performance.
I teach in a way that is student focused and tailored to each individual, with an emphasis on personal goals and achievements.

“Gina Seraichyk is a truly talented and superb musician. Her flute playing is flawless and beautiful. In addition she is always a pleasure to work with” Dr. Enrico Garzilli, International Award Winning Composer
