About
Garrett Becker is a highly skilled multi-instrumentalist living in LA who has worked with artists such as indie rock group Mild High Club, contemporary R&B artist NIKI, and jazz/pop singer-songwriter Melissa Manchester. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Garrett received 2 Associate's Degrees in Music from Citrus College and one Bachelor's in Jazz Studies from Cal State Northridge. He's been teaching and performing professionally for close to 10 years, helping many middle/high schoolers get accepted into various honor bands and a multitude of adult students rekindle their love of music.
When I teach I like to use a combination of traditional exercises and songs alongside any music that each student specifically wants to learn. My primary concerns for students is that they don't pick up any bad habits, build a solid foundation and beautiful tone, and have fun with their music!
