Greetings and Welcome!
Whether you're looking to up your Violin game or learn a new skill, with over 15 years of Teaching Experience I'm here to make your Learning Experience one of openness, expression, and fun! Here's a little about me: I enjoy an active free-lance career and play the Violin and Viola in several professional Orchestras and small ensembles. I've performed at prestigious venues such as Carnegie Hall, the Kennedy Center, and my local cafe. My favorite "Violin mode", aside from the massive solo literature, is small ensemble playing. I love playing either the Viola or 2nd violin in quartet as the inner voices really provide the structural ground upon which the outer voices can stand. It’s self-effacing in some ways and that is part of the pleasure as well- the opportunity to “forget oneself” and really breathe in the music.

I believe everyone is inherently musical.
I believe that regardless of skill or past experience you can learn to play the Violin well in a short amount of time.
I enjoy tailoring lessons to individual students to ensure lasting retention and natural absorption of material.
While we do need to establish some basic skills with our instruments, this is about you! Tell me what specific goals you'd like to work towards - a piece you'd like to learn and play (?) and we'll establish a schedule and lesson plans together so you leave each and every lesson feeling successful and making progress!
I guarantee that you will be playing in your first lesson, playing songs in three months, and working on being a musician after your first year.
