About
I am a percussionist from India, my principal instrument is tabla and have been learning it for last 14 years. I was born in a musical family learning Indian classical music. My love for percussion was developed as I started listening to various sounds from nature and great maestros playing different instruments. I have been playing different percussion instruments like cajon, djembe, darbuka, timpani etc.
I have completed my Masters in Music (Contemporary Performance and Production Concentration) from Berklee College of Music, Advanced Diploma in music (specialization rhythm) from Bhartiya Vidyapeeth, Master of music in “Tabla” from Gandharva Mahavidyalaya and on academic side Master’s in Computer Applications from Pune University in 2019.
I have performed at different festivals, part of a Guinness world record, recorded and composed rhythm for different musicals, teaching music for last 3 years and published articles on “Art as a social change” for Times Of India.
As I have been studying under a tradition of Guru - Shishya (Teacher- Disciple) I still follow the same principal in my way of teaching. I teach one on one with all very keen observing the student and understanding the improvements required.
