Hi I'm Carey! I currently live in the Twin Cities and am the Music Director of ComMUSICation, a non profit for youth who love music.
I am a professional singer and have sung with some incredible people around the world, but my main passion is teaching! I have taught voice lessons, voice class, and choir for 14 years and enjoy teaching all styles and genres. As a singer, I love singing Classical, Musical Theatre and indie/folk music and play along on my piano or ukulele. When I'm not doing music, I love to bake and watercolor.
I have been teaching voice lessons for the past 14 years and have taught all ages, genders, and skill levels. I truly believe anyone can sing and it's my passion to help you reach your goals! I have prepared singers for big auditions (colleges, competitions, roles), I have worked with beginning and aging voices, and I have experience teaching folks that have vocal damage. I am a smart and technical teacher but come from a place of compassion and a student-first mindset. I tailor my lessons to each student's goals, personality, and work style, and have students I've worked with for years!
