About

I am a professional opera singer based in New York, NY. I earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Voice from The Juilliard School, and have appeared as a principal artist with Lyric Opera of Chicago, Glyndebourne Festival Opera, Florida Grand Opera, L'Opéra de Montreal (concert), Cleveland Orchestra, Mozarteum Orchestra of Salzburg, National Symphony of Costa Rica, Nashville Symphony, New Jersey Symphony, Grant Park Music Festival, Austin Symphony, and many others.

I have won 3 Grammy awards as a member of the full-time chorus at the Metropolitan Opera since 2011. I will be making my Metropolitan Opera solo debut in the 2023-2024 season as Parpignol in La Boheme.

My area of expertise is classical singing, but my knowledge of the voice applies to other genres as well.

In my experience, you get out of lessons whatever you put in. While I don't have any strict requirements of my students in terms of singing ability, the only thing I ask for is a passion for learning. Lessons will generally begin with a series of vocal exercises, then move on to questions about technique and repertoire, and finally singing through whatever music I have assigned or the student has requested to sing. I am open to going through any music as long as it is vocally appropriate for the student.
