Hi friends! Thanks for visiting! I'm a classically trained violinist and touring guitarist. I love encouraging and stirring up a passion for music in others, and am proficient in teaching multiple instruments. I have been teaching private lessons for nearly two decades, and I design individual courses of study that align well with every student's strengths and interests.
I love sharing stories about the impact of music, and have been honored to play alongside pop icons Kenny Loggins, Jason Mraz, Tom Higgenson, and Nick Jonas. My career's expansive, with performances in venues from living rooms to stadiums. I love doing what I do and sharing it with you.
Lessons typically consist of exploring and improving on a specific element of what we're trying to achieve. For pieces, this might look like creating a practice pattern or strategy for a particularly challenging part, or discovering ways to perform a passage that best demonstrates its musical meaning. I will identify areas where you as a student might like to improve, and hand-pick or compose exercises that will steer you in the right direction. Rarely will lessons be rote or repetitive - that's what practice is for! My expectation is that you arrive at every lesson having accomplished what we set in the previous one so we can continue growing in the short time that we have together.
