About
Award-winning pianist, percussionist, singer and composer professionally known as Glockabelle. I've performed all over the world including the Toronto Film Festival, Bonnaroo, Japanese TV, SXSW, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, The Paris Film Festival, in over 20 countries and on 4 continents. I am recognized by France's Ministère de la Culture and the French Embassy. My roots are in classical piano but I also perform progressive rock, synthpop and chanson française.
Hailing from NYC via Paris, I am a native French speaker and magna cum laude graduate of La Sorbonne, Middlebury College and Paris Conservatory.
I have over 15 years of teaching experience at both an elite NYC private school and through private instruction. I very much enjoy teaching and helping my students reach their goals. I teach all ages and levels from beginners to advanced.
My approach as a music/language instruction is rooted in enthusiasm and developing creativity. I believe that while it’s important to give a solid foundation in terms of music theory and grammar, it’s equally important to give them space to experiment and incorporate their own unique tastes. This way they can stay motivated and overcome any frustrations and difficulties during the learning process.
Languages: I'm bilingual, so I'm available to teach lessons in English and French. I'm also available for conversation lessons in both languages.
