Andrew Wink is a guitarist, bassist, producer, and songwriter cultivating a balance of passion, storytelling, and innovation with the intention of telling compelling and relevant stories. He has been playing guitar and bass guitar for nearly 15 years and has been recording himself and other musicians for 6 years. Andrew earned a Bachelor's Degree in Music and Theatre from Washington College and is pursuing a Master's Degree in Music Business from Berklee Online, the online division of Berklee College of Music.
Andrew has performed and recorded with artists of multiple genres from Metal to Singer-Songwriter in Washington D.C. and Baltimore. Currently, Andrew performs regularly as the lead guitarist and backup vocalist for Grimm Winter, a band with a symphonic blend of indie and classic rock music. He has self-produced and released three EPs: “Through My Eyes,” “Retrospection,” and “Human,” as well as written a hard-rock inspired, full-length musical entitled “Last September.”
Andrew has 3 years of teaching experience from Bach to Rock and School of Rock, where he also served as Music Director. He has taught students ranging in skill level and age, from as young as 5 years old. He has a passion for enriching the lives of others through learning an instrument and building a deeper connection to music.

When approaching teaching Guitar or Bass Guitar, Andrew likes to use real world examples, such as songs familiar to the student, to introduce concepts in a way that the student understands. Perhaps there is a song you’ve heard of that you want to learn? Send a list of of songs and we can pull from the list based on experience level. We will primarily work by ear, but occasional supplemental material might be required.
For Music Production lessons, Andrew works to produce music from single ideas to fully arranged productions. For New music producers, Andrew recommends beginning recommends Bandlab, which is a free, cloud-based DAW that allows for collaborations and has all the tools needed to create music in an easy to use package. Andrew has experience working in multiple professional DAWS, including Ableton, Pro Tools, Studio One, and Reaper.
