About

Amara is a comedian, actor, and teacher hailing from Princeton, New Jersey. She studied Theatre at Northwestern University and now lives in Brooklyn, NY. She cares about thoughtful, imaginative, and accessible programming of improv comedy. 

Amara teaches and coaches improv and comedy for kids, teens, and adults. Most recently, she ran workshops for “Voices in STEM” at Princeton University. Previously, she has designed and taught classes with Magnet Theater, the Winnetka Public Library, Great Books Summer Camp, and she was the two-year coach for The Titanic Players at Northwestern University. Amara has performed and trained at The Second City, iO!, Magnet Theatre, UCB, The Annoyance (Chicago), Socially Distanced Improv, and The Player's Theatre.
