About Weekly Journaling Retreats for Musicians
Join a community of musicians of all levels who enjoy journaling silently together online each week. Get traction with weekly goals by using the tools of the Musician’s Practice Journal available in free PDF form and as a printed journal for purchase. No musical or journaling experience is necessary. On our weekly journaling retreat, our presence keeps us connected. We feel the support of each other as we journal silently together, like gathering in a library.
The Weekly Online Journaling Retreats Include
As offered by Ami:
- • A short guided meditation using a Musical Mantra to drop into a quiet space within
- • We review our musical week by using the journaling prompts on the Magnifying Glass page
- • We set up our coming week by segmenting and planning for the next leg of the journey using provided prompts and direction
- • Finally we have an open journaling time to complete our segmenting process and then freely journal about our musical life
After we conclude our silent journaling, you can exit the retreat or stay to get inspired by and feel the support of the other musicians. This part of the retreat is a time to celebrate our little wins of the week. You are welcome to share yours as well.
We do not ask anyone to share and we journal quietly. By keeping our writing focused on our inner process, we free ourselves in knowing that this writing is not for anyone else to read. We honor and support your private experience.

The class will meet for four weekly 45-min live online sessions each month on Wednesdays at 10 am ET | 7 am PT on the schedule below.
Enroll for one month at a time, or use the drop-down menu above to subscribe for recurring monthly payments and save. Cancel your subscription anytime.
If you sign up mid-month, you will have access to the recordings and materials for the earlier classes that month, and receive pro-rated credits for use towards a private make-up lesson or the future month's subscription payments.
Enrolled students receive lifetime access to the video recordings of the classes.
How It Works
Enroll above to save your spot in the class. Lessonface will send you a confirmation right away, and a Zoom link 24 hours before each session's start time. You can log into your Lessonface dashboard to access class materials, communicate with your instructor, join the live Zoom session, and access the class recordings and chat transcript afterward.
